D.C.Office Schemes

Revenue Department serve the people of both urban and Rural areas and more particularly large section of ryots in the matter of land grants, maintenance of records of Rights, recovery of land revenue and other govt. dues, distribution of food and other essential commodities, providing financial assistance to the victims of natural calamities/communal disturbances. It also co-ordinates activities of other departments for the successful implementation of developmental schemes etc.,. The progress achieved in the various scheme/subjects under the administrative control of the Deputy Commissioner is briefly narrated here under.

LAND GRANTS :are made through regularisation of encroachment under sec.94A and B of KLR act 1964. Lands encroached by persons up to an extent of 2 Hectors of ‘D’ class land will be regularised. As against 65887 applications received(Form-50), 60645 applications have been disposed off as on October 2000 and 24,534 acres of land has been regularised in favour of 13384 applicants. Govt have recently extended time for filing of application for regularisation of encroachments, in response 76482 application in Form-53 have been received. Provision has also been made for regularisation of houses constructed in rural areas on govt.land, for which 26984 applications have been received in the District. Action is being taken to dispose off these applications.

Under the scheme of RURAL ASHRAYA HOUSE SITE an extent of 733 acres of Govt. land has been provided to zilla panchayat for distribution of House sites to rural poor. Similarly in urban areas 10.12 acres of Govt. lands have been provided. 108.00 acres of lands have been purchased for distribution of House sites in Urban areas. 3356 sites have been distributed to urban poor and an amount of Rs.91.53 lakhs has been spent in this regard.

Annual demand of LAND REVENUE AND CESSES of the district amounts to Rs. 75 lakhs. During 1999-2000- collection of land revenue and cesses was Rs. 92,78 lakhs including arrears. During current year 2000-01 up to end of October 2000 the collection is Rs.23.59 lakhs collection of other Govt. dues during 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 (up to end of October 2000) is Rs. 9.91 lakhs and Rs. 4.00 lakhs respectively.

Under ASHRAYA AND AMBEDKAR urban Housing scheme the selected beneficiary will be provided with Housing facility. The progress made in Ashraya Ambedkar Housing schemes is as follows :

ARADHANA SCHEME has been introduced in the year 1991-92. In this scheme there is a provision for repairs/ construction of temples and Prayer Halls in the area inhabited of SCs/STs. Backward Communities and Minorities. Since the inception Rs.1,26,61,062/- has been released to this District under Aradhana Scheme. Rs.98,55,006/- has been spent. Out of 448 works takenup 318 works have been completed and the remaining 130 works are under progress.
